On the very first day that I meet students, we discuss setting goals and how we can meet not only individual goals, but a class goal. As a class, we need to follow the lead of Canadian Geese. Geese help each other and move as one. When one goose falls sick, two others stay with them until they are able to meet up with the flock. In the air, geese honk to encourage all members to keep up and as a group, they take turns leading the group as they become strong in with certain skills. This describes my class - students help one another progress, set a goal to strive for and work together to meet their goals, and in the end, celebrate our success. Below represents the goals and data that THE CLASS sets as it has nothing to do with me. Throughout the year, I will update class progress and make sure that additional help videos are posted under Ready for SOL. One flap at a time, one flap at a time :)
Block One - after their conversation, students decided to set a goal of 85% on their first quarter common assessment.
Block Two - students decided to set a goal of 90% on their first quarter assessment.
Block Four - students decided to set a goal of 85% on their first quarter assessment.
